The 2027 Ford Maverick is not a redesign. It keeps the same body, cabin, and engines. The big changes are in the lineup and the prices. The XL and Lariat are now hybrid-only. The turbo EcoBoost engine now comes only with all-wheel drive. The Lobo and Tremor get price cuts of about $3,500 to $4,300. Pricing starts at $28,145 plus a $1,845 destination fee. Dealers began taking orders on August 17, 2026, and production of customer orders is scheduled to start in early November 2026.

Ford has not yet posted 2027 details on its own website. The facts below come from Ford’s 2027 dealer order guide, as reported by Ford dealers and auto news sites, plus Ford’s official specs for the current truck. We point out anything that is still unconfirmed.

What’s New for the 2027 Ford Maverick?
The 2027 Maverick looks the same as the 2026 model. Ford changed which engines go with which trims, cut some prices, added colors, and moved some features around. Here are the changes that matter most.
No Redesign This Year
The Maverick got a facelift and a new 13.2-inch touchscreen for the 2025 model year. For 2027, dealers say Ford lists no mechanical or interior changes. The grille, headlights, cabin, and bed are carried over. If you see a “2027 Maverick redesign” video with a totally new truck, it is a rendering, not Ford’s real truck.
XL and Lariat Are Now Hybrid-Only
In 2026, you could get the turbo engine on almost any trim. For 2027, the XL and Lariat come only with the 2.5-liter hybrid. That makes the hybrid the heart of the lineup, which fits buyer demand. Ford sold 155,051 Mavericks in the U.S. in 2025, and 81,034 of them were hybrids. That is a little more than half.
EcoBoost Now Comes Only With AWD
The 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo is no longer offered with front-wheel drive. You can only get it on three versions:
- XLT AWD (order code 302A)
- Lobo
- Tremor
On the XLT, choosing the EcoBoost also adds the FX4 Off-Road Package as standard equipment. You can’t skip it. More on that below.
New Lariat Front-Wheel-Drive Hybrid
The Lariat now has a lower-priced FWD hybrid version (code 500A) at $34,760. Before, Lariat buyers who wanted the hybrid had fewer choices. This gives people who want upscale features and top mpg a cheaper way in.
Spare Tire Change on FWD Hybrids
This change is easy to miss. FWD hybrid models no longer come with a compact spare tire. Instead, they get a tire inflator and sealant kit. A dealer walkthrough also notes that no jack is included.
A sealant kit can fix a small nail hole. It can’t fix a torn sidewall. If you drive long distances or on rural roads, consider adding the conventional 17-inch spare. Dealers list it as an option for about $150. It also comes with the 4K Tow Package and the FX4 package.
Standard Alarm and a New Security Package
A perimeter alarm is now standard on every 2027 Maverick, including the base XL. Ford also added its Ford Security Package. It includes:
- Theft alerts: The Ford app warns you if someone tampers with the truck.
- Start inhibit: You can block the truck from starting from your phone.
- Stolen vehicle services: A Ford agent can help police locate the truck.
The first year is included. After that, you pay a subscription. Dealers report a one-time, seven-year plan for about $595 if you add it when you order the truck.
Other Small Changes
- The 4K Tow Package no longer requires the Co-Pilot360 safety package.
- A new Bronze Appearance Package joins the option list.
- The SecuriCode door keypad becomes a $250 factory option.
- A spray-in bedliner is a $525 standalone option on Lobo, Lariat, and Tremor.
- Lobo buyers can choose optional sport-compound tires.
- Tremor body graphics become optional.
- Three new paint colors replace four old ones.
2027 Ford Maverick Release Date and Ordering
Ford dealers started taking 2027 Maverick orders on August 17, 2026. Owners on the MaverickTruckClub forum shared Ford notices saying their trucks were scheduled to start production the week of November 2, 2026. A Kansas Ford dealer also said 2026 production was set to end on October 30, 2026.
That means most custom-ordered trucks should reach buyers from late 2026 into early 2027. Ford calls these dates tentative, so your own timing may be different.
Is a 2027 Ford Maverick for Sale Now?
A few are. The inventory tracker visor.vin counted 217 2027 Mavericks listed at U.S. dealers as of October 10, 2026. Most dealers still had few or none. If you want a specific color or package, placing a factory order is the surest way to get it.
How Long Does It Take to Order a Maverick?
There is no fixed wait. Your wait depends on when Ford schedules your order, parts supply, and shipping time. One dealer advises keeping dealer-installed extras to a minimum, since too many add-ons can slow down scheduling. Ask your dealer for your order number and build week, and track it in the FordPass app once you have a VIN.
Ford’s own Build and Price tool usually shows the new model year once production begins. Until then, many dealers have their own online configurators using 2027 order guide prices.
2027 Ford Maverick Price and Trims
Here is the full 2027 price list, based on the dealer order guide. Prices do not include the $1,845 destination charge, taxes, or dealer fees.
| Trim (code) | Engine and drive | 2027 MSRP | With destination |
|---|---|---|---|
| XL (100A) | Hybrid, FWD | $28,145 | $29,990 |
| XL (101A) | Hybrid, AWD | $31,540 | $33,385 |
| XLT (300A) | Hybrid, FWD | $30,745 | $32,590 |
| XLT (301A) | Hybrid, AWD | $33,140* | $34,985* |
| XLT (302A) | EcoBoost, AWD, FX4 included | $31,545 | $33,390 |
| Lobo (402A) | EcoBoost, AWD | $32,155 | $34,000 |
| Lobo High (702A) | EcoBoost, AWD | $37,155 | $39,000 |

| Lariat (501A) | Hybrid, AWD | $37,155 | $39,000 |
| Tremor (602A) | EcoBoost, AWD | $37,155 | $39,000 |
*One news report lists the XLT AWD hybrid at $32,640. Most dealer sources show $33,140. Confirm with your dealer.
The EcoBoost Price Cuts, Explained
The biggest news is the price drop on the turbo trims:
- Lobo: $32,155, down $3,775 from $35,930
- Lobo High: $37,155, down $4,270 from $41,425
- Tremor: $37,155, down $3,490 from $40,645
Ford has not explained why. Some news sites think Ford wants more space between the Maverick and the larger Ranger, or wants the Maverick to stay attractive as new small trucks arrive. Those are guesses, not Ford statements.
There is one catch. The cheapest way to get the EcoBoost went up. In 2026, you could get it on a FWD XL. In 2027, the cheapest EcoBoost is the XLT 302A at $31,545. Several news sites first reported this trim at $30,745, but dealer order guides show $30,745 is the price of the XLT FWD hybrid instead.
2027 Ford Maverick Hybrid Price
Hybrid prices barely moved. The XL Hybrid stays at $28,145, the same as 2026. The hybrid now ranges from $28,145 for an XL FWD to $37,155 for a Lariat AWD, before destination.
How Much Is a Fully Loaded Maverick?
The top trims start at $37,155. A Lariat AWD hybrid with the Lariat Luxury Package, Bronze Appearance Package, sunroof, and a few bed options can come close to $42,000 before destination. Add the destination fee and dealer fees, and a loaded Maverick can reach the low-to-mid $40,000 range. That is close to a mid-level Ford Ranger, so it is worth comparing both.
Is the Ford Maverick Overpriced?
It depends on the version. The base XL Hybrid is still one of the cheapest new pickups in America, and it gets car-like fuel economy. The Maverick started at about $20,000 when it launched for 2022, so today’s prices feel high to many shoppers. Still, the 2027 cuts make the Lobo and Tremor a much better deal than before. Fully loaded versions are where the value gets weaker.
2027 Ford Maverick Trims Explained
Each trim fits a different kind of buyer. Here is a simple guide.
XL: For Budget and Work Buyers
The XL is hybrid-only for 2027. It has the 13.2-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, automatic emergency braking, and the FLEXBED with tie-downs. It is a good pick if you want the lowest price and the best mpg. It has fewer comfort features than the higher trims.
XLT: The Most Flexible Trim
The XLT is the only trim offered with all three setups: FWD hybrid, AWD hybrid, or AWD EcoBoost. It adds keyless entry with push-button start, wiper-activated headlights, a power-locking tailgate, and nicer cloth seats. Many buyers will find the best balance of price and features here.
If you choose the XLT EcoBoost, the FX4 Off-Road Package comes standard. It adds all-terrain tires, skid plates, hill descent control, an off-road drive mode, and a full-size spare. That’s great for dirt roads. But all-terrain tires can be a little louder on the highway, so drive one before you decide.
Lobo: The Street Truck
The Lobo is a lowered, street-style Maverick with the EcoBoost and AWD. It has a sportier look, a sport-tuned setup, and its own body kit. It is the most style-focused Maverick. Note that Ford’s specs show the Lobo has the lowest payload (1,045 lbs) and lowest ground clearance (7.4 inches) of the lineup.
Lariat: The Comfort Trim
The Lariat is the most upscale Maverick and is now hybrid-only. It is the right choice if you want comfort features and high mpg. The optional Lariat Luxury Package adds an eight-speaker B&O sound system, wireless charging, LED bed lighting, a 400-watt power outlet, and a power-sliding rear window.
Tremor: The Off-Road Trim
The Tremor is the trail-ready Maverick. It uses the EcoBoost with an upgraded AWD system, a lifted suspension, and off-road tires. Ford’s specs list 9.1 inches of ground clearance, the most of any Maverick. It is a trim, not a package you add to another model.
Lobo vs Lariat: Which Is Better?
They are built for different people. With destination, the Lobo starts at $34,000 and the Lariat FWD starts at $36,605. Pick the Lobo if you want turbo power, AWD, and a sporty street look. Pick the Lariat if you want comfort, more features, and much better fuel economy. Ford’s 2026 ratings show the Lariat AWD hybrid at 36 mpg combined, versus 24 mpg for the Lobo.
Is the Tremor Worth It?
For 2027, the Tremor costs $3,490 less than before, which makes it easier to recommend. It is worth it if you really drive on rough trails, snowy back roads, or steep dirt hills. If you mostly drive in the city, an XLT hybrid AWD will cost less, use far less fuel, and handle rain and light snow well.
Key Features by Trim
This table shows what each trim is known for. It is based on dealer walkthroughs of Ford’s 2027 order guide, so check the final window sticker before you buy.
| Trim | Engine options | What stands out |
|---|---|---|
| XL | Hybrid, FWD or AWD | 13.2-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping, perimeter alarm, FLEXBED |
| XLT | Hybrid FWD or AWD, or EcoBoost AWD | Adds keyless entry with push-button start, wiper-activated headlights, power tailgate lock, aluminum wheels, privacy glass, 2,000-lb hitch receiver, 10 bed tie-downs |
| Lobo | EcoBoost AWD | Lowered street look, unique body kit, Lariat Luxury features included, optional sport tires |
| Lariat | Hybrid, FWD or AWD | Most upscale cabin, more standard driver aids, bed tie-down locking rails |
| Tremor | EcoBoost AWD | Off-road suspension, 9.1 inches of ground clearance, all-terrain tires, trail-focused AWD |

Hybrid vs EcoBoost: Which Engine Should You Pick?
Ford has not published official 2027 power ratings yet. Since the engines carry over, here are Ford’s most recent published figures.
| Spec | 2.5L Hybrid | 2.0L EcoBoost |
|---|---|---|
| Horsepower | 191 hp (total system) | 250 hp |
| Torque | 155 lb-ft (gas engine) plus electric motor help | 277 lb-ft |
| Transmission | eCVT (automatic, no gear steps) | 8-speed automatic |
| Drive | FWD or AWD | AWD only for 2027 |
| Trims | XL, XLT, Lariat | XLT, Lobo, Tremor |
| Combined mpg (2026 EPA) | 36 to 38 mpg | 23 to 25 mpg |
| Fuel tank (dealer data) | 13.8 gallons | 16.5 gallons |
Horsepower vs torque, in plain words: Horsepower is about how fast the truck can keep speeding up. Torque is the pulling force you feel when you first press the gas. The EcoBoost has more of both, so it feels quicker and pulls harder with a trailer.
Choose the hybrid if you drive mostly in town, want to save on gas, and tow light loads. The hybrid works best in stop-and-go traffic, where the electric motor does more of the work.
Choose the EcoBoost if you want quicker acceleration, plan to tow often, or want the Lobo or Tremor.
Is the Maverick Better With 4WD or AWD?
The Maverick does not offer traditional four-wheel drive (4WD) with a low-range gear. It offers all-wheel drive (AWD). AWD sends power to the wheels that need it, on its own, without you pushing a button. That is ideal for rain, snow, and gravel roads. True 4WD trucks with low range, like the Ford Ranger, are better for very rough, rocky trails. For most Maverick buyers, AWD is plenty. The Tremor has the most capable version of the system.
2027 Ford Maverick Fuel Economy (MPG)
The EPA had not posted 2027 ratings when this article was written. Because the engines are the same, the 2026 numbers are a good guide.
| Version (2026 EPA) | City | Highway | Combined |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hybrid FWD | 42 | 35 | 38 |
| Hybrid AWD | 40 | 34 | 37 |
| Hybrid AWD (Lariat) | 39 | 32 | 36 |
| EcoBoost AWD | 22 | 30 | 25 |
| EcoBoost AWD (Lobo) | 21 | 30 | 24 |
| EcoBoost AWD (Tremor) | 21 | 27 | 23 |
Which Maverick gets 40 mpg? The hybrid. The FWD hybrid is rated at 42 mpg in the city, and the AWD hybrid at 40 mpg city. Your real mpg will change with speed, weather, tires, and how much weight you carry.
What this means in dollars: Say you drive 12,000 miles a year and gas costs $3.25 a gallon. A hybrid at 38 mpg would use about 316 gallons, or about $1,030. An EcoBoost at 25 mpg would use about 480 gallons, or about $1,560. That is roughly $530 a year saved with the hybrid. Your own savings depend on your gas prices and driving.
Towing, Payload, and the 4K Tow Package
Every Maverick can tow 2,000 pounds. Add the 4K Tow Package, and the rating doubles to 4,000 pounds.
Towing vs payload: Towing capacity is how much weight you can pull behind the truck on a trailer. Payload is how much weight you can carry in the cab and bed together, including people.
| Version | Max towing | Max payload |
|---|---|---|
| Hybrid FWD | 2,000 lbs | 1,500 lbs |
| Hybrid AWD | 4,000 lbs (with 4K Tow) | 1,400 lbs |
| EcoBoost AWD (XLT) | 4,000 lbs (with 4K Tow) | 1,500 lbs |
| Lobo | 2,000 lbs | 1,045 lbs |
| Tremor | 2,000 lbs | 1,140 lbs |
Source: Ford’s most recent published Maverick specs. 2027 ratings have not been released.
What’s in the 4K Tow Package?
- Trailer brake controller
- Class III hitch with a 2-inch receiver and 4-pin and 7-pin plugs
- Transmission oil cooler (hybrid)
- Upgraded cooling fan
- Full-size 17-inch spare tire
For 2027, you no longer have to buy the Co-Pilot360 safety package to get it. Dealer walkthroughs show it requires AWD. In 2026, the package cost $745. Ford has not publicly confirmed the 2027 price, so ask your dealer.
Can a Ford Maverick Tow 3,000 Pounds?
Yes, but only with the 4K Tow Package on an AWD XL, XLT, or Lariat. Without it, the limit is 2,000 pounds. A 3,000-pound load could be a small camper, a pair of jet skis, or a small utility trailer with gear. Always count the trailer’s loaded weight, not its empty weight.
2027 Ford Maverick Packages
Packages can change the price a lot. Here are the main ones for 2027. Prices come from dealer order-guide walkthroughs and may change.
| Package | What you get | Available on | Reported price |

| 4K Tow | 4,000-lb towing, trailer brake controller, hitch, cooler, spare | AWD XL, XLT, Lariat | Not confirmed ($745 in 2026) |
| Co-Pilot360 | Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and braking, rear parking sensors, exit warning | XL, XLT | About $995 (XLT) |
| Ford Security | Theft alerts, start inhibit, stolen vehicle help | All trims (1 year included) | About $595 for 7 years |
| Ford Connectivity | Wi-Fi hotspot, streaming, voice assistant | All trims (1 year included) | About $745 for 7 years |
The Bronze and Black packages can’t be combined. Ford Authority reports the Bronze package also includes the 4K Tow Package, but a dealer walkthrough does not list it. Confirm this before you order.
Good to know: The seven-year Security and Connectivity plans must be added when you order the truck. If you wait, you can only renew year by year.
Popular Standalone Options and Prices
Beyond packages, Ford offers single options you can add to a factory order. These prices come from a dealer walkthrough of the 2027 order guide. Ford can change them.
| Option | Reported price | Why you might want it |
|---|---|---|
| Conventional spare tire (hybrid) | $150 | Replaces the sealant kit on FWD hybrids |
| Engine block heater | $190 | Helps the engine start in very cold weather |
| Keypad entry (SecuriCode) | $250 | Unlock the truck with a code instead of a key |
| Power-sliding rear window | $350 | Fresh air and easier access to the bed |
| Bed extender | $370 | Holds longer items with the tailgate down |
| Spray-in bedliner | $525 | Protects the bed from scratches and rust |
| Power moonroof | $995 | More light and air in the cabin |
| Tri-fold bed cover | $1,260 | Keeps cargo dry and out of sight |
| Hard rolling bed cover | $1,280 | A tougher, lockable bed cover |
A tip from the same dealer: keep dealer-installed extras to a minimum on a factory order. Each extra part must be ready before Ford schedules your truck. Simple accessories like floor mats can be bought later.
2027 Ford Maverick Colors
Ford added three new colors and dropped four for 2027.
| Color | Status | Reported cost |
|---|---|---|
| Gladwin Green | New for 2027 | $495 |
| Neptune Blue | New for 2027 | $495 |
| Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat | New for 2027 | $995 |
| Oxford White | Returning | No charge |
| Shadow Black | Returning | No charge |
| Velocity Blue | Returning | Extra cost |
| Light Blue | Returning | Extra cost |
| Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat | Returning | Extra cost |
| Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat | Returning | Extra cost |
Dropped for 2027: Azure Gray Tri-Coat, Carbonized Gray, Marsh Gray, and Space White.
Gladwin Green is a new color that dealers say has not appeared on other Ford models yet. It pairs with the Bronze Appearance Package in Ford’s dealer images. Neptune Blue and Glacier Gray are shared with bigger Ford trucks and SUVs.
Paint colors look different on a screen than in sunlight. If you can, see the color in person at a dealer before you order. Some colors may also be limited to certain trims.
Interior, Tech, and Bed
The cabin carries over from 2026. Every trim gets a 13.2-inch touchscreen with SYNC 4, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and an 8-inch digital gauge screen. Five people can ride, with a flip-up rear seat that hides storage underneath.
A few practical details stand out:
- Front door bins: Very large bins that can hold a big water bottle.
- Rear storage: Space under the rear seat for tools or bags.
- FLEXBED: Slots and tie-downs that let you divide the bed with simple 2×4 boards or 2×6 boards.
- Power outlets: An available 400-watt outlet in the cab and bed can run small tools or a phone charger at a campsite.
The bed is about 4.5 feet long. That fits a dirt bike or a load of mulch bags, but not a full sheet of plywood flat on the floor. The tailgate can be set partly open to carry longer items, and Ford offers a bed extender option.
Safety and Driver-Assist Features
Every 2027 Maverick comes with a solid set of safety features. According to a dealer walkthrough of the order guide, standard equipment includes:
- Airbags: front, side, side-curtain, and a driver knee airbag
- Pre-Collision Assist with automatic emergency braking: warns you and can brake to help avoid a crash, and can detect pedestrians
- Oncoming-traffic braking and intersection assist: help in left-turn and crossing situations
- Post-collision braking: can apply the brakes after a crash to reduce a second impact
- Lane-keeping system and road edge detection: help keep you in your lane, even on roads without painted lines
- Auto high beams and a rearview camera
- Perimeter alarm
The optional Co-Pilot360 package on the XL and XLT adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and braking, rear parking sensors, and an exit warning that alerts you before you open a door into traffic. If you park in tight lots or drive on busy highways, it is worth considering.
Crash test ratings: NHTSA and the IIHS had not posted 2027 Maverick crash ratings when this article was written. Because the truck is a carryover, results from recent model years are a reasonable guide, but check NHTSA.gov for the official 2027 scores.
2027 Ford Maverick Dimensions
Ford has not posted separate 2027 dimensions. Since the body is unchanged, these figures from Ford’s most recent spec sheet still apply.
| Measurement | Hybrid FWD | Tremor | Lobo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overall length | 199.8 in | 200.6 in | 200.9 in |
| Wheelbase | 121.1 in | 121.1 in | 121.1 in |
| Height | 68.8 in | 69.4 in | 67.7 in |
| Width (without mirrors) | 72.6 in | 72.6 in | 72.6 in |
| Ground clearance | 8.1 in | 9.1 in | 7.4 in |
| Bed measurement | Size |
|---|---|
| Length at floor | 54.4 in (about 4.5 ft) |
| Width between wheel wells | 42.6 in |
| Bed depth | 20.3 in |
| Bed volume | 33.3 cubic feet |
The width between the wheel wells is 42.6 inches. That is why a 4-by-8-foot sheet of plywood will not lie flat on the bed floor. It can ride on top of the wheel wells with the tailgate down, using the FLEXBED slots and tie-downs to hold it in place.
2027 Ford Maverick Warranty
The Maverick is covered by Ford’s standard new vehicle warranty. Coverage ends at the time or mileage limit, whichever comes first.
| Coverage | Length |
|---|---|
| Bumper-to-bumper (New Vehicle Limited Warranty) | 3 years or 36,000 miles |
| Powertrain | 5 years or 60,000 miles |
| Hybrid unique components | 8 years or 100,000 miles |
| Corrosion (perforation) | 5 years, unlimited miles |
The 8-year hybrid coverage is good news for hybrid buyers. It protects the costly hybrid parts, such as the battery, for much longer than the basic warranty.
2026 vs 2027 Ford Maverick: What’s Different?
| Feature | 2026 Maverick | 2027 Maverick |
|---|---|---|
| Design and cabin | Refreshed in 2025 | Same as 2026 |
| EcoBoost availability | XL, XLT, Lariat, Lobo, Tremor | XLT AWD, Lobo, Tremor only |
| EcoBoost with FWD | Yes | No (AWD only) |
| Lariat FWD hybrid | No | Yes |
| Lobo price | $35,930 | $32,155 |
| Tremor price | $40,645 | $37,155 |
| XL Hybrid price | $28,145 | $28,145 |
| Spare on FWD hybrids | Compact spare | Sealant kit (spare is optional) |
| Perimeter alarm | Not on every trim | Standard on all trims |
| 4K Tow Package | Required Co-Pilot360 | No longer required |
| New colors | – | Gladwin Green, Neptune Blue, Glacier Gray |
Should you buy a 2026 or wait for the 2027? If you want a Lobo or Tremor, the 2027 is the better deal unless a dealer discounts a leftover 2026 by more than the price cut. If you want a cheap EcoBoost with FWD, a leftover 2026 is your only way to get one new. If you want a hybrid, the trucks are nearly the same, so shop for the best discount. You can read our full guide to the 2026 Ford Maverick to compare.
Ownership Costs and Insurance
The sticker price is only part of the cost. Fuel, insurance, and maintenance add up over the years.
- Fuel: The hybrid can save hundreds of dollars a year, as shown above.
- Subscriptions: Security and Connectivity features are free for one year, then cost extra.
- Tires: Larger 19-inch wheels on the appearance packages usually mean pricier replacement tires than the 17-inch base tires.
- Insurance: Rates change with your age, driving record, ZIP code, coverage, and the trim you pick. A Tremor or Lobo may cost more to insure than an XL, but only a real quote can tell you.
Before you visit a dealer, you can estimate your car insurance costs with our free calculator. It does not ask for personal details, and it gives you a rough budget number. Treat it as an estimate, not a quote.
2027 Ford Maverick vs Rivals
The small pickup market is about to get busier.
- Ford Ranger: A larger midsize truck with body-on-frame toughness and true 4WD. The 2026 Ranger started at $33,550. Pick it if you need more towing and serious off-road gear.
- Ford Fathom: Ford’s new small electric pickup. Ford priced it from $28,350 ($29,945 with destination), with deliveries expected in fall 2027. It is a separate truck, not an electric Maverick.
- Toyota’s small pickup: Toyota has confirmed it is developing a small truck to compete with the Maverick, but has not shared its name, price, or specs. Read more about Toyota’s long-rumored small pickup.
- Bigger trucks: If you need far more space and towing, look at the 2027 Ford F-150, the Toyota Tacoma, or the unibody 2027 Honda Ridgeline.

How to Order a 2027 Ford Maverick, Step by Step
- Build your truck on paper. Choose the trim, engine, drive, color, and packages. Use a dealer’s 2027 configurator until Ford’s own Build and Price page goes live.
- Contact two or three dealers. Ask each one for a written price on the exact build. Some dealers offer pricing near invoice on factory orders, while others add fees.
- Place the order and pay any deposit. Ask for a copy of the order with every option code listed.
- Get your order confirmation. The dealer submits it to Ford. Ask for your order number.
- Wait for scheduling. Ford gives your order a build week. Once it has a VIN, you can track it in the FordPass app.
- Inspect the truck at delivery. Check the paint, options, and window sticker against your order before you sign the final papers.
Things to Check Before You Order a 2027 Maverick
Ordering a truck from the factory is exciting, but small choices matter. Use this list:
- Pick the engine first. Hybrid for mpg, EcoBoost for power. That decides which trims you can choose.
- Decide on FWD or AWD. AWD is needed for the 4K Tow Package and helps in snow.
- Add the spare tire if you have a FWD hybrid. It is a small cost for peace of mind.
- Add long-term plans at order time. The seven-year Security and Connectivity plans can’t be added later.
- Check color rules. Some colors and packages only work with certain trims.
- Measure your garage. The Maverick is about 200 inches long, about 16.7 feet. Make sure it fits.
- Ask about dealer markups. Get a written price before you sign. Some dealers sell ordered trucks at or below MSRP, while others add markups or extra fees.
- Test-drive both engines if you can. The hybrid and EcoBoost feel very different.
2027 Ford Maverick FAQs
When does the 2027 Ford Maverick come out?
Orders opened August 17, 2026. Production of customer orders was scheduled to start the week of November 2, 2026, with deliveries from late 2026 into early 2027.
How much is the 2027 Ford Maverick?
It starts at $28,145 for the XL Hybrid, or $29,990 with the $1,845 destination fee. The top trims start at $37,155 before destination.
Did the 2027 Ford Maverick get cheaper?
Some versions did. The Lobo dropped $3,775, the Lobo High dropped $4,270, and the Tremor dropped $3,490. The XL Hybrid price stayed the same.
Can you still get a 2027 Maverick with the EcoBoost?
Yes, but only on the XLT AWD, Lobo, and Tremor. It is no longer offered on the XL or Lariat, or with front-wheel drive.
What is new on the 2027 Maverick hybrid?
The hybrid engine is unchanged. The main news is that the XL and Lariat are now hybrid-only, a new Lariat FWD hybrid was added, and FWD hybrids get a tire sealant kit instead of a spare.
Does the Maverick have a Tremor package?
The Tremor is a full trim level, not an add-on package. It comes with the EcoBoost, AWD, a lifted suspension, and off-road tires.
What is the difference between a Maverick and a Maverick Tremor?
The Tremor adds off-road hardware, more ground clearance (9.1 inches vs 8.1 to 8.3 inches), and the EcoBoost as standard. Regular Mavericks focus more on comfort and mpg.
What is the Maverick Lobo?
The Lobo is a lowered, street-style trim with the EcoBoost and AWD. It focuses on looks and sporty driving, not hauling or off-roading.
What colors does the 2027 Ford Maverick come in?
Nine colors: Gladwin Green, Neptune Blue, Glacier Gray Tri-Coat, Oxford White, Shadow Black, Velocity Blue, Light Blue, Ruby Red, and Orange Fury.
What is the 2027 Maverick Security Package?
It adds theft alerts, remote start inhibit, and stolen vehicle help. The first year is included on every trim, and a seven-year plan is reported at about $595 if added at order time.
Is a Ford Maverick EV coming?
Ford has not announced an electric Maverick. Its small electric truck is the Ford Fathom, expected in fall 2027.
What are the common problems with the Ford Maverick hybrid?
Like most vehicles, the Maverick has had recalls in past model years. Owners should check open recalls with their VIN on NHTSA.gov and keep up with Ford’s service schedule. We do not have reliability data for the 2027 model yet, since it is new.
Is the 2027 Ford Maverick worth buying?
For most buyers, yes. The hybrid offers rare fuel economy for a pickup, and the 2027 Lobo and Tremor are better values than before. If you need more towing or true 4WD, a midsize truck like the Ranger may suit you better.
What is the warranty on the 2027 Ford Maverick?
It has Ford’s 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and 8-year/100,000-mile coverage on hybrid parts.
How big is the 2027 Maverick’s bed?
The bed is 54.4 inches long at the floor, about 4.5 feet, with 33.3 cubic feet of space and 42.6 inches between the wheel wells.
Does the 2027 Maverick have automatic emergency braking?
Yes. Pre-Collision Assist with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection is standard on every trim.
