The 2027 Ford F-150 Raptor got cheaper. Its starting price drops by $4,010 to $74,995 ($77,790 with the $2,795 destination charge), putting it head-to-head with the Ram 1500 RHO. The catch is that the new base Equipment Group 800A drops the B&O sound system, the head-up display, heated rear seats and the power tilt/telescoping steering column. To get those back, you add Equipment Group 801A for $4,120. Power is unchanged: a 450 hp, 510 lb-ft 3.5L twin-turbo V6. The 720 hp V8 Raptor R is confirmed for 2027, but its price had not been announced at the time of writing.

This guide covers the whole 2027 Raptor family: the F-150 Raptor and Raptor R in detail, plus quick answers on the Ranger Raptor, Bronco Raptor and the “Raptor” models that don’t exist.
2027 Ford Raptor lineup at a glance
| Model | Engine | Power | 2027 price |
|---|---|---|---|
| F-150 Raptor (800A) | 3.5L twin-turbo V6 | 450 hp, 510 lb-ft | $74,995 ($77,790 with destination) |
| F-150 Raptor (801A) | 3.5L twin-turbo V6 | 450 hp, 510 lb-ft | About $79,115 + destination |
| F-150 Raptor R | 5.2L supercharged V8 | 720 hp | Not announced (2026: $113,525) |
| Ranger Raptor | 3.0L twin-turbo V6 | 405 hp | See our Ranger guide |
| Bronco Raptor | 3.0L twin-turbo V6 | Around 418 hp | Around $80,000 |
2027 Ford F-150 Raptor price and cost reduction
| Version | 2026 | 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Base Raptor MSRP | $79,005 | $74,995 |
| Destination | – | $2,795 |
| Price with destination | – | $77,790 |
| 801A package (restores 2026 features) | Standard | +$4,120 |
Why did the Raptor get cheaper? Ford is reacting to the Ram 1500 RHO, which also starts at $74,995 and makes more power (540 hp). To hit that price, Ford “de-contented” the base Raptor. If you add the 801A package, a 2027 Raptor equipped like the 2026 model costs about the same as before, only about $10 more.
What the 800A base model drops:
- 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen Unleashed audio
- Head-up display
- Heated rear seats
- Power tilt/telescoping steering column
Everything that matters off-road stays: the Fox Live Valve shocks, the long-travel suspension, the 4×4 hardware and the 450 hp engine. For buyers who care about performance more than luxury, the 800A is the value pick.
2027 F-150 Raptor engine, specs and towing
- Engine: 3.5L high-output twin-turbo V6 (EcoBoost)
- Power: 450 hp and 510 lb-ft
- 0-60 mph: about 5.2 seconds
- Transmission: 10-speed automatic, 4×4
- Tires: 35-inch all-terrain tires standard, with the optional 37-inch package
- Towing: about 8,200 lbs when properly equipped
Ford hasn’t announced any power increase for 2027, so the Raptor still trails the Ram RHO on paper in horsepower and 0-60 time.
2027 Ford Raptor R
The 2027 F-150 Raptor R is confirmed and keeps its 5.2L supercharged V8 with 720 hp. It’s the most powerful Raptor and Ford’s answer to the Ram TRX.
- Price: not announced for 2027. The 2026 Raptor R started at $113,525. Some reports expect Ford may lower it to compete with Ram, but that is not confirmed.
- What makes it different: V8 power, a more aggressive exhaust note, special Raptor R interior trim and standard 37-inch tires.
Ram TRX vs Ford Raptor R
The Raptor R’s traditional rival is Ram’s supercharged V8 TRX. Both are six-figure, high-speed off-road trucks. Until both brands publish final 2027 pricing and specs, compare them on the dealer price you are actually offered, since discounts on trucks this expensive can be large.
2027 Ford Ranger Raptor
The Ranger Raptor is the smaller midsize Raptor, with a 405 hp 3.0L twin-turbo V6, Fox shocks and serious off-road ability for less money than the F-150 Raptor. For 2027, the regular Ranger is moving to a 3.0L V6 on XLT and Lariat trims, which narrows the gap. For full Ranger Raptor pricing, colors, release date and specs, see our 2027 Ford Ranger guide.
2027 Ford Bronco Raptor
The Bronco Raptor is the off-road SUV version, with a twin-turbo V6, wide fenders and 37-inch tires, priced around $80,000. For 2027, Ford added a new Bronco RTR that brings some Raptor-style hardware for much less money, with first deliveries planned for January 2027. Read our 2027 Ford Bronco guide for Bronco Raptor details.
Is there a 2027 Mustang Raptor, Maverick Raptor or Super Duty Raptor?
No. As of now, Ford sells the Raptor name only on the F-150, Ranger and Bronco in the US. Searches for a “Mustang Raptor,” “Maverick Raptor,” “Explorer Raptor,” “Expedition Raptor,” “F-250 Raptor” or “F-650 Raptor” usually lead to renderings, aftermarket builds or rumors. The Everest Raptor is not sold in the US. Ford has not announced any of these for 2027.
2027 Raptor 800A vs 801A: which should you buy?
| Feature | 800A (base) | 801A (+$4,120) |
|---|---|---|
| 3.5L twin-turbo V6, 450 hp | Yes | Yes |
| Fox Live Valve shocks and long-travel suspension | Yes | Yes |
| 4×4 hardware | Yes | Yes |
| 14-speaker B&O Unleashed audio | No | Yes |
| Head-up display | No | Yes |
| Heated rear seats | No | Yes |
| Power tilt/telescoping steering column | No | Yes |
| Price before destination | $74,995 | About $79,115 |
Choose the 800A if you mainly care about off-road performance, plan to add your own audio, or want the lowest price for a real Raptor.
Choose the 801A if you carry passengers in cold weather (heated rear seats), want the head-up display for long highway drives, or care about premium sound. Remember that an 801A Raptor costs about the same as a 2026 Raptor, so you’re not really saving money with it.
2027 Ford Raptor vs Ram 1500 RHO
The Raptor’s price cut is a direct response to Ram’s RHO, a high-output off-road version of the Ram 1500.
| Item | 2027 Ford F-150 Raptor | 2027 Ram 1500 RHO |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 3.5L twin-turbo V6 | 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six |
| Horsepower | 450 hp | 540 hp |
| Torque | 510 lb-ft | 521 lb-ft |
| 0-60 mph | About 5.2 seconds | About 4.4 seconds |
| Starting price (before destination) | $74,995 | $74,995 |
On paper, the RHO is quicker and more powerful for the same base price. The Raptor’s strengths are its long track record, huge aftermarket support, Ford’s off-road suspension tuning and a big dealer network. If you can, drive both on rough roads before you decide, because ride comfort and handling on dirt are where these trucks differ most.
Ford Raptor history
| Generation | Years | Engine | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| First (SVT Raptor) | 2010–2014 | 5.4L and 6.2L V8 | Created the factory high-speed off-road truck segment |
| Second | 2017–2020 | 3.5L twin-turbo V6, 450 hp | Aluminum body, more power, 10-speed automatic |
| Third | 2021–present | 3.5L twin-turbo V6, 450 hp | Coil-spring five-link rear suspension, available 37-inch tires |
| Raptor R | 2023–present | 5.2L supercharged V8 | V8 returns; now 720 hp |
The Raptor has been Ford’s halo truck for more than 15 years, and it’s the vehicle that made “desert runner” trucks popular. The 2027 price cut is the first time in years that the Raptor has become cheaper rather than more expensive.
Raptor 37 Performance Package
The optional 37-inch tire package gives the F-150 Raptor bigger, more aggressive tires and wheels designed for serious off-road use. Bigger tires add ground clearance and grip on rocks and sand, but they also:
- Lower fuel economy slightly
- Increase steering effort and road noise on pavement
- Cost more to replace
If you rarely leave the pavement, the standard 35-inch tires are the better everyday choice.
2027 Ford Raptor fuel economy and running costs
The Raptor is a heavy, high-performance off-road truck, and its fuel economy is in the mid-teens mpg combined. At 15 mpg and 12,000 miles a year, you’d use about 800 gallons of fuel, about $2,600 a year at $3.25 a gallon. The Raptor R’s V8 uses considerably more.
Other running costs to plan for:
- Tires: large all-terrain tires are expensive, especially the 37-inch option.
- Insurance: high-performance trucks often cost more to insure. Get quotes before you buy.
- Suspension maintenance: if you drive off-road hard, the shocks and suspension parts need regular inspection.
Who should buy the 2027 Ford Raptor?
Buy the F-150 Raptor if: you want a factory high-speed off-road truck that’s also comfortable every day, and you like Ford’s long Raptor history and aftermarket support.
Wait for Raptor R pricing if: you want V8 sound and maximum power and don’t mind paying six figures.
Consider the Ranger Raptor if: you want Raptor-style off-road ability in a smaller, cheaper truck that’s easier to park and fits more trails.
Consider a regular F-150 or Tremor if: you need more towing and payload than a Raptor offers. The Raptor’s off-road suspension limits its towing compared with standard F-150s.
How to buy a 2027 Raptor for less
1. Start with the 800A. It’s the cheapest way into a Raptor, and you can add aftermarket audio later.
2. Compare it with the Ram RHO at the same dealer price point to help negotiate.
3. Watch for dealer markups. High-demand performance trucks sometimes carry “market adjustments.” Shop several dealers.
4. Ask about 2026 leftovers. A leftover 2026 with discounts may compare well with a new 2027 801A.
5. Plan your insurance. Use our car insurance calculator to get a rough monthly figure.
Example monthly payment
On a $77,790 Raptor with $10,000 down, a $67,790 loan at 7% for 72 months comes to roughly $1,156 a month. A 60-month loan would be about $1,342 a month. Rates vary based on your credit and Ford Credit offers.
2027 Ford Raptor colors and interior
Ford had not published the full 2027 F-150 Raptor color list at the time of writing. Check Ford’s build-and-price tool or a dealer order guide for exact 2027 colors. Inside, the Raptor keeps its sport seats, Raptor badging, paddle shifters and a large center touchscreen. Remember that the 800A base model loses some comfort features listed above.
2027 Ford Raptor release date
The 2027 F-150 lineup goes on sale in the fall of 2026, and Ford announced 2027 Raptor pricing in August 2026. Expect 2027 Raptors at dealers from late 2026, with the Raptor R following once Ford confirms its pricing.
Is the 2027 Raptor worth it?
Choose the 800A Raptor if you want the full off-road hardware for less money and don’t care about the premium audio or HUD. Choose the 801A if you want the same comfort level as a 2026 Raptor. Wait for Raptor R pricing if you want V8 power. If you want a regular full-size truck, our 2027 Ford F-150 guide covers the rest of the lineup.
