- More standard equipment: power windows and power locks on the base trim.
- Carryover: the 3.6L V6, 8-speed automatic, body, frame, 12.3-inch touchscreen and off-road hardware.
Is the 2027 Jeep Gladiator redesigned?

The 3.0L EcoDiesel was dropped after 2023, and the manual transmission was dropped with the 2025 refresh. That means the 2027 Gladiator manual transmission isn’t available.
2027 Jeep Gladiator V8 and 392
There’s no V8 Gladiator for 2027, and there has never been a factory one. The 6.4L 392 V8 is offered only in the Wrangler. Jeep fans have asked for a Gladiator 392 for years, and some aftermarket shops do V8 swaps, but Jeep hasn’t announced one. Any “2027 Gladiator V8” prices or release dates you see online are rumors.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Hurricane engine
The Gladiator doesn’t get the Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six for 2027. That engine is used in the Grand Wagoneer and Ram 1500. A Hurricane Gladiator would make sense as a V8 alternative, but it isn’t on the order guide.

The 2027 Gladiator tows up to 7,700 lbs when properly equipped (Sport S and Rubicon with the max tow package). That ties the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon for the top of the midsize class. Max payload is about 1,700 lbs on the lighter trims.

2027 Jeep Gladiator Sport S
The Sport S is now the base model. It comes with the V6, the 8-speed automatic, the 12.3-inch touchscreen and, new for 2027, power windows and locks. It’s the best value if you want the Gladiator experience at the lowest price.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Willys
The Willys adds a locking rear differential, mud-terrain tires and Willys graphics. It’s a great middle-ground trim for light off-roading, and it’s one of the two trims that can get the Sarge Edition.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Sahara
The Sahara is the comfort trim. It adds body-color trim, nicer seats and more convenience features. It suits buyers who want a lifestyle pickup for daily driving.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and Rubicon X
The Rubicon has Dana 44 axles with front and rear lockers, a disconnecting front sway bar, a 4:1 transfer case and 33-inch tires. It’s the best Gladiator for rock crawling. The Rubicon X adds leather seats, premium audio, a steel bumper and more standard features.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Mojave and Mojave X
The Mojave is built for high-speed desert running. It gets Fox 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks, front hydraulic jounce bumpers, a 1-inch lift and a reinforced frame. The Mojave X (about $64,605) adds leather seats, heated seats and steering wheel, Alpine audio, a trail camera and more premium equipment.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Sarge Edition
The Sarge Edition is new for 2027. It’s based on the Willys or Rubicon and adds military-inspired details: a star hood decal, bronze tow hooks and green interior accents. It matches the Wrangler Sarge and is one of the most distinctive Gladiators you can buy.
Sarge towing capacity: the Sarge uses the same V6 and hardware as the Willys or Rubicon it’s based on, so towing is the same, roughly 6,000 to 7,700 lbs depending on the base trim and tow package.

Like the Wrangler, the cabin is loud at highway speeds because of the removable roof and doors.
