The 2027 GMC Acadia is a carryover year with a few real changes: two new paint colors, Super Cruise hands-free driving now standard on the Denali and Denali Ultimate, and small price moves across the range. Prices start at $45,895 for a front-wheel-drive Elevation and run to $67,395 for an all-wheel-drive Denali Ultimate, including the $1,995 destination charge. Production started on July 17, 2026, at GM’s Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan, so 2027 models are reaching dealers now. Below we go through every trim, what each one costs once you add the options people actually buy, the full color list, and whether you should buy a 2027 or chase a leftover 2026.

What’s new for 2027 (and what isn’t)
If you were hoping for a new engine or a hybrid, this isn’t that year. The Acadia was completely redesigned for 2024, grew by almost a foot, and moved to GM’s C1 platform. For 2027 GMC left the hardware alone and made three kinds of changes:
- Two new colors. Ink is a new dark shade for the Denali and Denali Ultimate, and Trailstone Green Metallic is a new green for the Elevation. Crystal Metallic and Downpour Metallic are gone.
- Super Cruise is standard on both Denali trims. GM’s hands-free highway driving system used to be an extra-cost package on the Denali. It’s now included, and it remains a $3,670 option on the Elevation and AT4.
- Price changes. The Elevation and AT4 launched slightly below 2026 prices, then went up $300 in October 2026. The Denali Ultimate is up $300 over last year.
Everything else carries over: the 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 328 horsepower, the eight-speed automatic, the 15-inch portrait touchscreen with Google built-in, and three rows of seats in every trim.
2027 GMC Acadia price for every trim
These are GMC’s official prices including the $1,995 destination charge. The Elevation and AT4 went up $300 in October 2026, so we show both the launch price and the current price.

| Trim | Drive | Launch price (July 2026) | Current price (Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Elevation | FWD | $45,595 | $45,895 |
| Elevation | AWD | $47,595 | $47,895 |
| AT4 | AWD only | $54,395 | $54,695 |
| Denali | FWD | $57,895 | $57,895 |
| Denali | AWD | $59,895 | $59,895 |
| Denali Ultimate | FWD | $65,395 | $65,395 |
| Denali Ultimate | AWD | $67,395 | $67,395 |
All-wheel drive adds $2,000 on the trims that offer a choice. The AT4 only comes with all-wheel drive, and it uses a twin-clutch system that can send more power to the outside rear wheel for better grip on loose surfaces.
What most buyers will actually pay
Window stickers rarely match the base price. Here is what a typical, sensibly optioned Acadia looks like at each level, using GMC’s factory option prices:
| Build | Options added | Approx. price |
|---|---|---|
| Elevation AWD, family spec | Elevation Premium Package ($2,535), 7-passenger seating ($495), metallic paint ($495) | about $51,400 |
| AT4 with Reserve Package | AT4 Reserve Package ($6,425), Super Cruise ($3,670) | about $64,800 |
| Denali AWD, well equipped | Denali Reserve Package ($2,900), sunroof ($1,700), Ink paint ($495) | about $65,000 |
| Denali Ultimate AWD, every factory option | 8-year Super Cruise extension ($3,000), Glacier White Tricoat ($1,095), SiriusXM and service plans | about $72,000 |
Add a dealer’s accessories on top, from assist steps to the $3,535 Adventure Package, and a fully loaded Denali Ultimate can pass $80,000. That makes the most expensive 2027 Acadia a genuine luxury-priced SUV, so it’s worth knowing which extras matter and which don’t. We cover that further down.
The four trims, and who each one suits
Elevation ($45,895)
The Elevation is the one most families should look at first. You get the same 328-horsepower engine as the Denali Ultimate, an 11-inch digital gauge cluster, the 15-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and GMC’s standard safety kit with automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and blind-spot warning. It’s the only trim with eight seats as standard, using a second-row bench; captain’s chairs are a $495 option.
The Elevation Premium Package ($2,535) is the upgrade we’d add. It brings the comfort features buyers tend to miss in a base trim, and it costs less ($1,735) if you also pick the Black Edition Package ($2,695), which swaps chrome for gloss-black trim and adds dark wheels. Trailstone Green Metallic, the new color for 2027, is exclusive to the Elevation.
AT4 ($54,695)
The AT4 is the outdoorsy Acadia. It rides about an inch higher than the Elevation, with 7.7 inches of ground clearance against 6.7, and it gets all-terrain tires, the performance suspension, a twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system and an off-road drive mode. It’s not a rock crawler, but it handles gravel roads, snowy trailheads and muddy campsites with more confidence than any other Acadia.
The AT4 Reserve Package ($6,425) is where the AT4 starts to feel premium inside. It’s expensive, so if you want luxury more than ruggedness, a Denali may be better value. The AT4 doesn’t get either of the new 2027 colors; Riverstone Metallic remains its exclusive shade.
Denali ($57,895)
The Denali got the most meaningful update for 2027, because Super Cruise is now included. On the 2026 Denali that was a separate package, so the 2027 is better value if you drive long highway distances. The Denali also brings the Luxury Package as standard, Denali-specific styling, and access to the new Ink paint.
The Denali Reserve Package ($2,900) adds the extra comfort features, and 22-inch Pearl Nickel wheels are a $1,400 option. We’d skip the 22s if ride comfort matters to you; bigger wheels look great but transmit more road noise.
Denali Ultimate ($65,395)
The Denali Ultimate sits above everything else with the panoramic sunroof, the performance suspension and the full set of luxury features as standard. It competes with three-row SUVs from luxury brands on equipment, though it doesn’t have their badge. If your budget reaches this far, compare it with a well-optioned Denali first; many of the Ultimate’s extras can be added to a Denali for less.
Which 2027 Acadia we’d buy at each budget
Trim names only tell you so much. Here’s how we’d spend the money if it were ours, based on the prices above.
Under $50,000: Elevation AWD
At $47,895, the Elevation AWD gives you the same engine, the same space and the same standard safety kit as every other Acadia. Skip the big packages, pick Gideon Gray cloth if you have young kids, and you have a roomy, quick family SUV for well under the average price of a new three-row model. If you live where it rarely snows, the front-drive version saves another $2,000.
$50,000 to $56,000: Elevation with a few smart options, or the AT4
This is where the choice gets interesting. A well-optioned Elevation with CoreTec seats is the comfortable, sensible pick. The AT4 at $54,695 is the one to choose if you drive gravel roads, tow to campsites, or simply like its tougher look. It isn’t a rock crawler, but its all-terrain tires and extra ground clearance make dirt tracks and snowy driveways less stressful.
$56,000 to $62,000: Denali
For most families this is the best Acadia. The $57,895 Denali (or $59,895 with AWD) brings leather, a nicer cabin and Super Cruise as standard. Adding Super Cruise to a lower trim costs $3,670 on its own, so the Denali’s price jump is easier to justify than it first looks.
Over $65,000: Denali Ultimate
The Denali Ultimate starts at $65,395 and feels like a luxury SUV inside, with full Woodland Mahogany leather and the most features. It’s lovely, but by this price you should also test-drive a top-trim Buick Enclave and a couple of luxury-brand three-row SUVs to be sure the GMC is the one you want.
2027 GMC Acadia colors
There are eight exterior colors for 2027, but not every color is offered on every trim. Summit White is the only no-cost choice.
| Color | Price | Available on |
|---|---|---|
| Summit White | $0 | All trims |
| Ebony Twilight Metallic | $495 | All trims |
| Sterling Metallic | $495 | All trims |
| Volcanic Red Tintcoat | $645 | All trims |
| Glacier White Tricoat | $1,095 | All trims |
| Trailstone Green Metallic (new) | $495 | Elevation only |
| Ink (new) | $495 | Denali, Denali Ultimate |
| Riverstone Metallic | $495 | AT4 only |
Trailstone Green is an earthy, slightly gray green that looks very different in sunlight and shade, so see one in person before you order. Ink is a deep, almost black blue-gray that suits the Denali’s chrome. If resale value matters to you, white, black and gray shades are the safest bets; bold colors like Volcanic Red can take longer to sell on the used market.
Interior colors depend on the trim and package. Denali models get richer leather choices, while the Elevation sticks to darker, family-friendly tones. Check the build tool on GMC’s site for the combinations offered with your exterior color.
Wheel designs
Each trim has its own standard wheel, with a few upgrades:
- 22-inch Bright aluminum or 22-inch High Gloss Black: $2,750 on the Elevation and Denali.
- 22-inch Pearl Nickel machined aluminum: $1,400 on the Denali, with 275/45R22 all-season tires.
- 18-inch Gloss Black: $2,495 on the AT4. Smaller wheels with taller tires are the better choice for gravel and potholes.
2027 GMC Acadia interior colors and seat materials
Inside, GMC kept things simple for 2027. There are six cabin color schemes in total, but the trim you pick decides which ones you can have. You can’t, for example, get the Denali Ultimate’s brown Woodland Mahogany leather in a regular Denali.
| Trim | Interior color | Seat material |
|---|---|---|
| Elevation | After Dark (black) | Cloth |
| Elevation | Gideon Gray | Cloth |
| Elevation with Premium Package | After Dark | CoreTec synthetic leather |
| Elevation with Premium Package | Gideon Gray | CoreTec synthetic leather |
| AT4 | Forest Storm with Mahogany accents | Cloth and CoreTec |
| Denali | After Dark | Perforated leather |
| Denali | Sheer / Very Dark Atmosphere (two-tone) | Perforated leather |
| Denali Ultimate | Woodland Mahogany | Full leather |
If you have small kids or a dog, the Gideon Gray cloth in the Elevation is the more forgiving choice. It hides dust and crumbs far better than black, which looks sharp on day one and shows every bit of lint by day three.
CoreTec is GM’s name for its synthetic leather. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, and in a three-row family SUV that matters more than most buyers expect. That alone makes the Elevation Premium Package worth a look, even before you check what else comes in it.
The AT4 gets just one interior, Forest Storm with Mahogany accents. It’s a dark green-gray that suits the AT4’s outdoor look, but there’s no alternative, so sit in one at a dealer before you order.
The Denali’s Sheer / Very Dark Atmosphere combination is a light-and-dark two-tone. It makes the cabin feel brighter and more open, and light seats stay cooler on hot days. The trade-off is cleaning: blue jeans can leave dye on the driver’s seat bolster over time, so plan to wipe it down every few weeks.
Denali Ultimate buyers get one choice, Woodland Mahogany full leather. It’s a rich brown that looks best with darker paint or white, and it’s one of the nicest cabins GM sells outside a Cadillac.
Engine, towing and fuel economy
Every 2027 Acadia uses the same engine: a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder making 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic. There’s no V6, hybrid or plug-in option. The turbo four has plenty of pull for merging and passing, even with a full load of passengers, and it feels quicker than the old V6 Acadia in everyday driving.
| Spec | 2027 GMC Acadia |
|---|---|
| Engine | 2.5L turbo inline-4 |
| Power | 328 hp, 326 lb-ft |
| Transmission | 8-speed automatic |
| Drive | FWD or AWD (AT4 is AWD only) |
| Max towing | 5,000 lbs with the trailering package (expected to carry over) |
| Fuel economy (AWD) | about 21 mpg combined |
| Fuel tank | 21.7 gallons |
| Seating | 8 (Elevation) or 7 |
Fuel economy is the Acadia’s weak spot. At about 21 mpg combined for all-wheel-drive models, it trails hybrid rivals like the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid by a wide margin. With a 21.7-gallon tank you’ll still cover close to 450 miles between fill-ups on a mixed drive. If most of your driving is in town, factor the extra fuel cost into your budget.
The 5,000-pound towing rating is enough for a small camper, a pair of jet skis or a utility trailer, but not a large travel trailer. If you tow more than that regularly, look at the bigger 2027 GMC Yukon instead.
Size, space and the third row
Since the 2024 redesign the Acadia is a full-size three-row SUV in all but name. It’s 203.9 inches long on a 120.9-inch wheelbase, which puts it right alongside the Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave that share its platform.
| Measurement | Figure |
|---|---|
| Length | 203.9 in |
| Wheelbase | 120.9 in |
| Width (with mirrors) | 87.9 in |
| Height | 70.9 to 72.0 in, depending on trim |
| Ground clearance | 6.7 in (Elevation), 7.3 in (Denali), 7.7 in (AT4) |
| Cargo behind 3rd row | 23.0 cu ft |
| Cargo behind 2nd row | 57.1 cu ft |
| Max cargo | 97.5 cu ft |
The third row is genuinely usable by adults on shorter trips, which wasn’t true of the pre-2024 Acadia. The 23 cubic feet behind it is enough for a week of groceries or a couple of carry-on suitcases with every seat in use. Fold both rear rows and the 97.5 cubic feet is close to what you’d get in a small van.
One thing to check before you buy: at almost 17 feet long, the Acadia may not fit comfortably in an older or shorter garage. Measure first.
What tech comes standard
Every 2027 Acadia gets the same core tech, so you don’t need a top trim to get the big screens:
- 15-inch portrait touchscreen with Google built-in (Google Maps, Google Assistant and apps from Google Play)
- 11-inch digital driver display
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, forward collision alert and front pedestrian braking
- Rear-seat reminder and teen driver settings
Super Cruise is the big option. It lets you drive hands-free on more than 750,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada, with a camera that checks you’re watching the road. For 2027 it’s standard on the Denali and Denali Ultimate and $3,670 on the Elevation and AT4. It needs a connected-services plan; three years are included on the AT4 and both Denalis, and an extension to eight years costs $3,000.
Is the 2027 GMC Acadia safe?
It’s well equipped for safety, but it didn’t win the top crash-test award, and you should know why before you buy.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) did not name the 2026 Acadia a Top Safety Pick, and the 2027 is mechanically the same SUV, so expect the same result. The 2025 model did earn the award, but IIHS made its rules tougher for 2026. Two things held the Acadia back: protection for back-seat passengers in the updated moderate overlap front crash test, and how its automatic braking handled higher-speed tests with motorcycle and semitrailer targets.
That doesn’t make it an unsafe car. Front-seat protection is strong, and several rivals also missed the newer standard. But if you often carry adults or teenagers in the second row, compare the IIHS rear-seat results of every SUV on your shortlist.
Every 2027 Acadia comes with these driver aids as standard:
- Automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian braking
- Forward collision alert and a following distance indicator
- Lane keep assist with lane departure warning
- Blind zone alert and rear cross traffic alert
- IntelliBeam automatic high beams
- Rear seat reminder
The warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles bumper to bumper and 5 years or 60,000 miles on the powertrain, with roadside assistance for the same 5 years. That’s normal for GM, but Hyundai and Kia give you 5 years or 60,000 miles of basic cover and 10 years or 100,000 miles on the powertrain. If you keep cars for a long time, that gap is worth weighing.
2026 vs 2027 GMC Acadia: which should you buy?
The two model years are nearly identical to drive. The differences come down to price, colors and Super Cruise:
| 2026 Acadia | 2027 Acadia | |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 2.5L turbo, 328 hp | Same |
| Super Cruise on Denali | Extra-cost package | Standard |
| New colors | Crystal Metallic, Downpour Metallic | Ink, Trailstone Green Metallic |
| Elevation and AT4 price | Slightly higher at launch | $300 more after October 2026 |
| Denali Ultimate price | $300 less | $67,395 AWD |
Buy a leftover 2026 if you want an Elevation or AT4 and your dealer is discounting outgoing stock. The vehicle is the same, and year-end deals can be worth more than any 2027 change.
Buy the 2027 if you want a Denali, because standard Super Cruise is worth more than the price gap, or if you want one of the new colors. A 2027 also holds its value slightly better when you sell, simply because it’s a newer model year.
Options worth paying for, and ones to skip
With so many packages it’s easy to spend $10,000 more than you need to. Our take:
- Worth it: the Elevation Premium Package, 7-passenger captain’s chairs if your kids are past car-seat age, the panoramic sunroof on the Denali, and Super Cruise if you regularly drive long stretches of interstate.
- Think twice: 22-inch wheels (firmer ride, pricier tires), the AT4 Reserve Package (at $6,425 a Denali may be better value), and the dealer Illumination Package.
- Usually skip: paid service plans you can buy later, dealer-installed lug nut and badge kits, and the $40 front license plate bracket if your state doesn’t require a front plate.
How to build and price your Acadia without overpaying
The build tool on GMC’s own website lets you pick a trim, drivetrain, paint, interior and packages and shows the price as you go. It’s the quickest way to see what a real Acadia costs, because the starting price in ads rarely matches the one on a car you’d actually want. Here’s the order we’d follow:
- Pick the trim first, then the options. Adding packages to an Elevation can bring it within a few thousand dollars of a Denali that already has those features built in.
- Choose AWD only if you need it. It adds $2,000 on the Elevation and Denali. In places with mild winters, a front-drive Acadia on good all-season tires copes with rain just fine.
- Check the paint price. Premium finishes such as Glacier White Tricoat and Volcanic Red Tintcoat cost extra, so look at the build tool before you fall for one.
- Save your build summary. Send it to two or three dealers and ask each for a written out-the-door price. Written quotes are the easiest way to stop surprise charges.
- Look for factory offers. GM runs cash, financing and lease deals on the Acadia that change every month and differ by region. The build tool shows the current ones for your ZIP code.
Watch out for dealer add-ons. Nitrogen in the tires, paint protection, window tint and market adjustment fees can add $1,000 to $3,000. You can ask for them to be taken off the price, and if a dealer refuses, another dealer will usually have the same SUV without them.
If you want a specific color like Ink or Trailstone Green, a factory order is the surest way to get it. It takes longer than buying from stock, but your dealer can give you a scheduled build week once the order is accepted, so you’re not left guessing.
Questions to ask the dealer before you sign
- What is the full out-the-door price, including taxes, title, registration and every fee?
- Which add-ons are already on the car, and can they be removed?
- Which factory rebates or financing offers apply to this exact VIN this month?
- If I order a car, can I lock in today’s price, or will it change if GM raises prices?
- Does the price include the first maintenance visit, and what does it cover?
Ask for answers in writing or by email. A good dealer won’t mind, and it makes comparing two quotes side by side much easier.
How the Acadia compares with its rivals
The Acadia sits in a crowded class. Here’s how it stacks up in broad terms:
- Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Enclave: the same platform and engine. The Traverse is usually cheaper and the Enclave more luxurious; the Acadia sits between them, with the AT4 as its unique selling point.
- Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade: strong value and lots of standard features, but neither offers hands-free driving like Super Cruise.
- Toyota Grand Highlander: a hybrid option with much better fuel economy, if mpg is your priority.
- Honda Pilot: a smooth V6 and a clever middle seat, but less cargo space than the Acadia.
If you want the most space and the best highway tech for the money, the Acadia Denali is hard to beat. If you care most about fuel economy, a hybrid rival makes more sense.
Running costs: insurance and fuel
Expect insurance on a 2027 Acadia to cost about the same as other large three-row SUVs. The Denali and Denali Ultimate cost more to cover than the Elevation because their parts, sensors and big wheels are more expensive to repair. Our guide to the cheapest SUVs to insure shows where three-row models usually land, and you can get a rough figure for your state with our car insurance calculator, without entering personal details.
On fuel, at about 21 mpg and $3.20 a gallon, 12,000 miles a year costs roughly $1,830. A hybrid rival at 34 mpg would cost about $1,130 for the same distance.
When can you buy a 2027 Acadia?
Regular production of the 2027 Acadia began on July 17, 2026, at Lansing Delta Township, Michigan, and GMC’s online configurator opened in early July. Dealers have been taking orders since the summer, and 2027 models are now arriving on lots. Popular builds, especially the Denali in the new Ink color, may take a few weeks longer to arrive if you order from the factory.
A redesign isn’t expected until around the 2030 model year, so the 2027 is a safe buy if you plan to keep it for several years. A mid-cycle refresh with styling and tech updates could arrive around 2028.
What to check on a test drive
A short drive around the block won’t tell you much about a vehicle this big. Book at least 30 minutes and try these:
- Sit in every row. Climb into the third row yourself, not just the kids. Check how easy the second-row seats are to slide and fold.
- Bring your car seats. Fit them where you’d actually use them and see if the third row is still reachable with them installed.
- Fold everything flat. Make sure your stroller, golf bag or dog crate fits behind the third row, not just with the seats down.
- Measure your garage. The Acadia is 203.9 inches long, almost 17 feet. Many older garages are tight at that length.
- Try the highway. On a Denali, ask the salesperson to show you Super Cruise on a mapped road so you can decide if it’s worth paying for on other trims.
- Check rear visibility. Back into a parking space using the mirrors and the camera to see how you feel about its size.
Buying used, trading in and resale value
Because the 2027 Acadia has only just reached dealers, there are very few used ones yet. The first will be demonstrators, rental cars and early trade-ins, and you’ll start seeing more of them through 2027 and 2028.
If you like the idea of saving money, a lightly used 2024, 2025 or 2026 Acadia makes more sense today. It’s the same generation, with the same 2.5-liter turbo engine and almost the same tech, and the first owner has already taken the biggest drop in value.
If you’re trading in your current car, get online offers from at least two instant car-buying services before you visit the dealer. Then negotiate the new Acadia’s price and your trade-in separately. When the two are mixed together, it’s easy to be shown a generous trade value while getting a smaller discount on the new SUV.
On resale, Denali trims and AWD models in white, black or gray are usually the easiest Acadias to sell later. Expensive extras like Super Cruise rarely add their full cost back at trade-in time, so pay for them because you’ll use them, not as an investment.
Our take: who should buy the 2027 Acadia, and who shouldn’t
The Acadia’s biggest strength is space. It’s one of the largest SUVs in its class, and with 23 cubic feet behind the third row you can carry six or seven people and still fit a stroller or a week of groceries. Adults can use the third row on short trips, which isn’t true of many rivals.
What we like
- Real space in all three rows, plus a useful cargo area with every seat up
- A strong 328-hp turbo engine and 5,000-pound towing
- Denali and Denali Ultimate cabins that feel truly upscale
- Super Cruise hands-free driving included on both Denali trims
- Two fresh colors that make the 2027 easy to tell apart
What we don’t
- No hybrid, and about 21 mpg combined trails hybrid rivals
- Prices rise fast once you add options
- No IIHS Top Safety Pick under the tougher new rules
- A shorter warranty than Hyundai and Kia
- Its size makes tight city parking a chore
Buy it if you need real three-row space, tow a small boat or camper, or want an SUV that feels close to a Cadillac for less money. The Denali is the sweet spot for most families. It costs about $12,000 more than a base Elevation but adds leather, Super Cruise and a much nicer cabin, which would cost nearly as much to add on their own.
Skip it if you mostly drive alone in town, care most about fuel costs, or plan to keep the car well past 100,000 miles. A smaller two-row SUV, a hybrid, or a Hyundai Palisade or Kia Telluride with its longer warranty will suit you better.
One last tip: don’t rush. The 2027 Acadia has only just arrived, so dealers have more stock coming every week. Get two or three written quotes, take a long test drive with your family, and you’ll end up with the right trim at a fair price.
